And the award goes to...Adolph!
ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA –
January 19th, 2007 –
It’s awards
time in Hollywood and the same could be said of the Holstein
industry. One bull whose daughters are picking up trophies left
and right
is TRI-DAY ADOLPH.
As Adolph
daughters continue to get noticed across the country,
JOLEANNA ADOLPH GEORGIA RAIN is no different. This winter calf
owned by Katy Johnson of Unadilla, N.Y., was recently nominated
Junior All-American Winter Calf. Georgia Rain was also named the
Jr. All-New York Winter Calf at the 2006 Junior All-New York
awards. She earned these accolades after placing first in her
class at the International Junior Holstein Show and first in
both the junior and open divisions of the New York Spring
Holstein Show. Congratulations, Katy, on developing this
outstanding young heifer!
Adolph, whose
daughters have three previous All-American nominations, has
earned a reputation for putting show-winning style, size and
strength into his offspring. He also sires the functional traits
cows need – sound feet and legs and strong udder attachments.
The success
of Adolph’s progeny is not surprising considering his family is
no stranger to show business.
Adolph’s full sisters include the famed TRI-DAY ASHLYN, EX-96, 2001 World
Dairy Expo Supreme Champion; and TRI-DAY ADEEN, EX-93, a four
time All-American. Adolph has 12 more sisters scored EX-91 or
higher, each with an impressive list of championship titles and
All-American honors.
An
Excellent-94 Encore son, Adolph has been designated an Excalibur
Sires Purple Rosette Sire. While his daughters’ classification
scores keep getting higher, some of his best-known Excellents
include Ziems TDA Sonja, EX-94, Milbro Adolph, EX-92.
Excalibur Sires, based in
Rochester, Minnesota, is the fastest growing A.I. company in
North America. In cooperation with global partners, Excalibur
Sires progeny tests over 1,000 Holstein young sires a year. For
