Adolph addition to high-scoring 2-year-old list
ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA –
October 31st, 2007 –

White-Light Adolph Krayon VG-88
White-Light
Adolph Krayon is the latest Adolph daughter to make it on the
Holstein Association’s list of high-scoring two-year olds. Fresh
with her second calf, Krayon classified VG-88 earlier this month
at White Light Holsteins in Salesville, Ohio. Congratulations to
her owners, Tony & Laura Menzie!
Krayon’s
classification was just the cherry on top of the sundae coming
after an already sweet show season. This summer, Krayon placed
second in the senior 2-year-old cow class at the Ohio State
Fair. She was also Reserve Intermediate Champion at Ohio’s
District 3 Show. If you were in Madison earlier this month, you
may have also seen Krayon at World Dairy Expo where she placed
quite respectably in the middle of the tremendously deep class
of outstanding senior 2-year-olds.
Members of the
Adolph family are no strangers to the show ring at Expo (or
elsewhere around the country). Adolph’s full sisters include the
famed TRI-DAY ASHLYN, EX-96, 2001 World Dairy Expo Supreme
Champion, and TRI-DAY ADEEN, EX-93, a four time All-American.
Ziems TDA Sonja, EX-94, and MS CCB Adolph Roxette, are just two
of his daughters to place in top 10 of their respective classes
at the International Holstein Show.
An Excalibur
Sires Purple Rosette Sire and classified Ex-94 himself, Adolph
can also perform in the barn. Krayon is just one of his many
daughters to score big thanks to the Adolph’s eye-catching
style, size and strength. He also sires the functional traits
cows need – sound feet and legs and strong udder attachments.
Excalibur Sires, based in
Rochester, Minnesota, is the fastest growing A.I. company in
North America. In cooperation with global partners, Excalibur
Sires progeny tests over 1,000 Holstein young sires a year. For
