Sonja EX-94 pictured on the right.
The influence
of Excalibur Sires breeding was evident in the show ring at the
43rd All-American Dairy Show. Ziems TDA Sonja EX-94, sired by
Tri-Day Adolph, placed second in the 125,000 lb. cow class.
She finished just behind the show’s grand champion,
Cameron-Ridge BC Lisa. Owned by Ziem-Barb-Way of Aurora, N.Y.,
Sonja’s accomplishments at Harrisburg will be added to an
already impressive listing of show ring honors. Be sure to look
for this phenomenal Adolph daughter on the list of 2006
All-American nominees.
Three heifers
by Excalibur Sires bulls also placed among the top ten in their
respective classes. Dochaven Norman Patrice finished sixth in
the spring heifer calf class. This fancy Highland-H Stormin
Norman daughter is owned by Jeff McKissick of New Castle,
Pa.
Another Adolph
daughter, Five Forks Adolph Diamond, was among the top ten
summer yearlings. Diamond, who was also named reserve junior
champion at the Pennsylvania State Spring Show, joins an
emerging group of show-stopping Adolph daughters across the
country. She is owned by Ronnie and Pamela Morse of Five Forks,
Pa.
Highland-H Lee
Sully
sired the eighth-place spring yearling, Highland-H Sully Scout.
An Excalibur Sire’s purple rosette young sire, Sully is a Lee
son of Highland-H Norman Sunshine EX-92. With an aAa of 165,
Sully is the epitome of dairy style. Scout is owned by Chirsty
Hindman of Brockway, Pa.
