Excalibur Sires adds many new young sires

ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA –September 10, 2007 –

Excalibur Sires has added several new young sires to their line-up from one of the most prolific and outstanding cow families in the west – the Mark Abigail from Canyon-Breeze Holsteins in Minersville, Utah.

Clarney W C Mark Abigail EX- 91 2E GMD has two records of over 40,000 lbs. and over 200,000 lbs lifetime. Abigail’s remarkable transmitting ability is evident in her many offspring that have gone on to make great records and score big with the classifiers. 

Abigail is the fourth dam of each of the six bulls added to the Excalibur Sires young sire sampling program from this family. In between, there is nothing but one outstanding cow after another. For example, there’s Abigail’s daughters, Canyon-Breeze Wst Amber, Ex-93 GMD DOM, and Canyon-Breeze RTL Ammie 2E-92 GMD DOM, by Leadman.

In the third generation of this broad family tree are cows like Canyon-Breeze EM August, 2E-92 GMD DOM; Canyon-Breeze EM Ashley, 3E-94 GMD DOM; both full sisters to Super Star Canyon-Breeze Allen and Canyon-Breeze Jolt Angel, Ex-90 DOM.

It’s clear that Abigail’s influence didn’t stop there, as August is the dam of Canyon-Breeze Hrl Ariel, Ex-90 and the extremely popular Canyon-Breeze HRL Artic. Ariel’s Goldwyn sons, Canyon-Breeze G Allied and Canyon-Breeze G Austin, are joining the Excalibur Sires line-up. Allied and Austin both have a PTAT of +2.94 and a PTAM of +1065.

Angel’s daughter, Canyon-Breeze Mor Alicha, VG-89 1^st calf, is the dam of Canyon-Breeze Marsh Astonic, a Pasen Marsh son with a PTAM of +1218 and a PTAT of +2.54.

From the same line direct line, Canyon-Breeze Cop Audit’ Ex-90  has 2 Stormatic sons, Canyon-Breeze Storm Arch and Canyon-Breeze Storm Ames, that have also been recruited for Excalibur’s sampling program.
