Duplex Daughters Turn Heads
in the Sale Ring and the Show Ring
ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA –
November 3rd, 2006 –
Duplex daughters were hot items in the sale
ring during this year’s World Classic Sale at World Dairy Expo.
That’s no surprise considering
235HO0322 MESLAND DUPLEX is
currently the number two type bull in the world.
Miss Duplex Reno
was snatched up by Bob Miller of Orangeville, Ill., for $9,000.
Reno’s nearest 13 dams are all part of the unbroken line of
Excellents from the Audrey Posch family. Duplex’s status as the
best type bull in the breed is sure to help Reno on her way to
becoming a 14th generation Excellent.
Erin Wood Genetics, Geneva, N.Y., purchased
the first choice Duplex female
out of Tallent Shine for
$8,000. Shine, Ex-90 GBR, is a Gelpro daughter by Condon Aero
Sharon, making her a maternal sister to Picston Shottle. No
doubt her mating to Duplex will yield some very exciting
offspring to choose from.
Lazy-A Duplex
Loviet-40 is another promising
young Duplex daughter sold on the World Classic. Her dam is a
VG-87 two-year-old out of Comestar Lovisetta Lee, Ex-94. Loviet
was purchased by a syndicate of Ryan Weigel, Rich Coulthard and
Jim Bush, based in Cuba City, Wisc.
Duplex’s numbers speak for themselves: he
has a PTAT of +3.13 with a feet and legs composite of +2.77 and
a +2.41 udder composite. Duplex is a Durham son from the solid
Henkeseen Mark Marci family. His dam,
Henkeseen Hills Emerald, Ex-91,
is out of Marci’s most popular daughter, Henkeseen M Hillary.
Both Hillary and Marci are designated 3E 94 GMD DOM.
An Excalibur Sires Purple Rosette Sire,
Duplex is classified Excellent-90 with an aAa of 315. His
daughter Casablanca Duplex Coro,
VG-86, was Intermediate
Champion of the Spanish Spring National. As his daughters
mature, we are sure to see more of them in the winner’s circles
around the globe.
Another family member, Henkeseen Hurricane,
is also following the family tradition of high type with good
production as an Excalibur Sires Pinnacle Point Young Sire.

I. company in North America. In cooperation with global
