Excalibur Sires' May Proofs Fantastic!

ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA – May 16th, 2007 –

It simply stated has been another fantastic proof run for Excalibur Sires!!!! Most of the bulls that added daughters saw their proofs go up. Adolph, Bojangles, Dateline, Display, Dugle, and of course NORMAN all added daughters and all saw an increase in their proofs. Let’s start with:

Highland-H Stormin NORMAN EX-94 saw his type proof take a very nice jump while adding daughters. He almost doubled the number of daughters in his milk proof and this dropped. His daughters start a little slow as first calf  heifers, but when they calve the second time WATCH OUT,  they easily crank out 30,000 to 40,000 lbs of milk. Norman’s initial proof took a huge jump up as his first crop daughters calved the second time.

Recently I visited a number of herds with milking second crop Norman daughters. George Alves of Wendell Idaho milks 600+ grade Holsteins. After hunting through 200 2yr olds we located Norman #6937, she was good enough to show, milking well, and had fantastic components. When asked if he minded having visitors in to look at her George replied: “As long as they don’t try and buy her!!!!!”

I’ve never had to apologize to anyone for selling a bull that sires the best young cows on the farm.

Autumn-Ridge BOJANGLES-ET EX-90 came through as one of the hottest bulls available on the planet. He came up on type like we predicted, he increased his milk to +1413, his PL to +3.4, and his TPI to +1941 which we were thrilled by. We have new daughter pictures that are fantastic and best of all he sires width, strength and power + he is not sired by BW Marshall.

Croaky-Pond DATELINE-ET EX-90  is really a nice bull siring tall, long, straight dairy cows that with good udders that milk well. Be prepared to watch his type proof move up as more daughters are scored.

Regancrest-Be DISPLAY-ET EX-91  is a James son who sires POWER,STRENGTH, and WIDTH. At 7% Calving Ease he is a GREAT choice for heifers. Add in the fact that he is +2.05 PTAT and you have a combination that is hard to beat.

Creek DH DUGLE-ET EX-90 is a bull to keep your eye. His daughters have great udders as well as tremendous depth of fore and rear rib. He also boasts incredible components being +.10 % Protein and +.06% Fat.

LAUDAN-ET  has  large numbers of 2^nd crop daughters 6103 to be exact. He rolls in at a terrific +1693 TPI, +4.4 PL, and +1.45 PTAT. Pretty incredible when you think about it.

Forest Glen Daniel JAKE-ET  makes a big play for us in the Jersey breed coming in with 299 daughters and jumping to +1512 milk and +1 Type.
