Sires Keeps Improving with High TPI Bulls

The May
2006 Proofs again provided Excalibur Sires with some of the
industries highest TPI bulls. Excalibur Sire’s top TPI bull
again was the powerhouse
Highland-H Stormin
Norman EX-94
who came in at +1886 TPI.
In addition to having a high TPI, Norman has an extremely
unique aAa of 564 and recently had two first-crop daughters
score EX-93. Norman sires daughters that are strong, wide,
powerful cows that give major volumes of milk.
Another
leader on the TPI list is
Manager who came through
with an impressive +1823. In addition to his great TPI, Manager
is one of the highest bulls in the world for productive life at
+3.8. Add calving ease to the package and it is easy to see why
every major A-I company in the World has used him as a sire of

Another
high TPI sire is
Jefferson at +1740 TPI .
Jefferson, is not just another bull that fit the TPI formula and
sires pukes that you would never want to milk. He is + 1.80
PPTAT +1.44 UDC +1.81 UDC and with 126 daughters you can trust
his proof. He also has a very unique aAa code of 165 which will
fit lots of cows out there. He also has very little Bell blood
in his pedigree making him an outcross to many of today’s inbred
bloodlines.
A new
bull to the Excalibur Sires line-up who hits high for TPI is
Jackpot.
Jackpot EX-90 came in at +1702 TPI and is a high
type sire as well at +1.99 PTAT +2.25 UDC +2.08 FLC based on 167
daughters. Look through as many sire directories and see how
many bulls you can find with 167 daughters in their first crop,
it isn’t many. Excalibur Sires sees a bright future for him.
Another recent high TPI addition to Excalibur Sires bullpen is
the super sire
Douglas. Douglas, a Durham
son who makes poppa proud, was +1646 TPI and is becoming one of
Excalibur Sires high-profile bulls due to his elite type + 2.92
PTAT +2.61 UDC +2.33 FLC. He also boasts a high productive life
of +2.4. Douglas comes by all these traits naturally as his four
closest dams that are all Excellent! Again you can use Douglas
with complete confidence since he has 98 daughters in his first
crop.
