Pacific's Dam Sweeps Eastern National

ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA – October 11th, 2007 –

Windy-Knoll-View Pacific’s dam Windy-Knoll-View Pledge EX-92, cleaned house on the East coast show circuit. First she was picked as the 1st Place 5 year old at the 44th Annual All-American Dairy show held in Harrisburg, Penn. She was then picked as the Show’s Grand Champion!!

The momentum was then impossible to stop and the winnings REALLY started to pile up. Pledge  combined with her maternal sister Windy-Knoll-View Pammy VG 88, who was 1st place Sr. 2 year old, to win the Produce of Dam award. Next Pledge and her daughter Windy-Knoll-View Plush combined to win the Daughter/ Dam class.

Pledge along with her sister Pammy
again entered the winners circle when they anchored the prestigious Best Three Females Award. Windy-Knoll-View was then bestowed with the coveted Premier Exhibitor Award. This was based almost entirely on points earned by Pledge and family.

To top it all off the Burdette Family was honored by receiving what many believe to be the highest award given at any show, that of Premier Breeder. Incredibly this award was achieved by points accumulated almost EXCLUSIVELY by Pledge and family. An incredible accomplishment!!!!

Pledge is already a seasoned veteran of the winner’s circle. Earlier this year, she was the first-place 5-year-old and Reserve Grand Champion at the New York Spring Show. In 2006, she was nominated as an All-American 4-year-old and was a member of the Reserve All-American Best Three Females.

With a record of 4-01 2x 365 41,190 3.8 1577 3.0 1237 Pledge is definitely a hard worker, too! To top it off, she has a CTPI of +1816 and is a full sister to Windy-Knoll-View Pronto (Ex-94).

Pledge’s son, Windy-Knoll-View Pacific, is an exciting addition to Excalibur Sires’ young sire program. Sired by September Storm, his granddam, Windy-Knoll-View Promis, 2E-95 GMD DOM, was the reserve All-American 5-year-old in 2003. In 2006, four of Promis’ daughters (including Pledge) placed among the top 10 in their classes at World Dairy Expo.

Sincerest congratulations go to the Burdette family at Windy Knoll View of Mercersburg, Penn., for their recent wins and for breeding and developing this entire family!
