Excalibur Sires is proud to announce one of the newest additions to the already superb sire line-up, Delano. Delano enters the line-up with a TPI of +1481 along with a 9% calving ease. He has stellar type at +2.08, udder composite at +1.74, and feet and leg composite at +1.94. Delano is a Luke son out of EX-95 Nunesdale Starbuck Delmira - DOM. During her lifetime Delmira produced 182,130 pounds of milk with a 4.8% fat test yielding 8,674 pounds and a 3.6% protein test yielding 6,476 pounds.
When looking for genetic superiority, there is no reason to look
further than Empire. This sire comes to us as the full brother to Regancrest Derry. Empire is an Emory son from the famous Dellia 2E-95 GMD
DOM who passes onto his offspring all that is looked for in a dairy cow,
especially with feet and legs. The beautiful deep open rib frames are
spectacular combining
dairyness and strength perfectly. Empire now has 374 daughters in his
proof passing on type at +2.27, udder composite at +1.72, and feet and leg
composite at an unheard of +3.04.
For the perfect production boost, Zelati II strengthens the line-up with a high TPI of +1619 along with an outstanding fat proof of +102 pounds! If looking for a Net Merit bull, look no further as Zelati II ranks second in the sire line-up at 574. This Zebo son, with a +.27% fat, is a product of the Cleitus Macey family. Being higher than +1.09 in type and feet and leg composite, his 134 daughters make Zelati II a bull every farmer can rely on.
When looking to strengthen red genetics bloodlines, or black and
white for that matter, there is only one place to start. Startit *RC *CV
is a Storm son that combines production, +1566 TPI and +52 (+.07%) fat,
with unheralded type, inherited from a cow family of six dams that average
over 90 points at classification. His elite type is a phenomenal +2.92, an
unbelievable udder
composite at +2.81, with a tremendous feet and leg composite at +2.61.
Fortune is the perfect combination of type, production and calving ease for your herd. You will be sure to find a fortune with udders at +2.62 and great feet and legs at +2.58 walking through your barn yard. The calves will be born with ease as Fortune is a 7% calving ease bull, and with a +1505 TPI they will be sure to produce. This tremendous Formation son out of VG-88 Latuch Aerostar Linda cannot be passed up.
Zecher is another tremendous Zebo son every producer will want to have on hand. His components are amazing with a +.22% and +88 pounds fat along with +.05% and +40 pounds protein. Needless to say, his +1603 TPI is impressive as is his +530 Net Merit. Zecher carries a aAa code of 264 with type composites equaling or surpassing +1.20. Zecher is backed by three dams averaging over 90 points at classification.
Feet and legs are Stopper's specialty. This Storm son excels in feet and legs with a composite of +2.92 while following up with +2.13 type as well as a +1.22 udder composite. His daughters carry beautiful udders that are overshadowed by the steep foot angle and correct legs that move them around. Stopper is backed by an EX-91 dam which is where he inherited his +.10% fat.

May/2003 Proof Highlights
Excalibur Sires celebrated the start of the summer with a phenomenal May sire summary run, which included the addition of seven new bulls to the lineup and 20 bulls now ranked at over +1500 TPI.
New bulls include the Oliveholme Aeroline son, Apostel, who’s +2060M and over +1.40PTAT. Early daughters are long, dairy, and standing on a tremendous set of feet & legs. At +1.76FLC and a +1.31 Foot Angle, Apostel is a definite breed improver. Jojoba is a new Jolt son from a VG-89 Jed dam. Jojoba excels in Stature (+2.04), Dairy Form (+2.05), and Rear Udder Height (+2.83) and Width (+2.37).
For producers looking to boost their component levels, Lucius and Rumpel are the new sires of choice! Lucius, a Lukas son from a VG-89 Southwind, is outstanding at +.22%Fat and +.07%Protein. Daughters possess tremendous mammary systems, as his proof would indicate: +1.44UDC, +1.80 Fore Attachment, +1.57 Rear Udder Height, and +2.05 Udder Cleft. Rumpel is a high component transmitter as well at +.11%F and +.02%P. Being a Rudolph x Jubilant cross, Rumpel also has the genetic makeup to transmit strength and depth, along with terrific fore udders.
A trio of production specialists completes the new bulls at Excalibur. Lorbeer is a Lord Lilly son that is +1860M and +51P, while also being over one point in Udder and Foot & Leg composites. Longtime Excalibur favorites such as Zoro, Discovery, and Adolph, improved their production numbers with the addition of first crop daughters. Zoro now has 1340 daughters, while Discovery has 795. Type specialist Adolph added more daughters to his proof with an increase in production to +838M. Emil, the highest TPI Sire in the Excalibur lineup at +1687, continues to be a high fertility sire while transmitting tremendous frames and high components. One additional highlight from the May proofs is the highest TPI Storm son in the lineup. Stern, now over 800 lbs of milk, maintains high conformation scores of over +2.00 for Type and for Udder Composite.
The Pinnacle Progeny Test program continues to grow, with over 1000 young sires being tested each year throughout the world. Excalibur, in cooperation with its partners, can then graduate over 250 bulls every three months, and offer a total of over 450 proven sires. 2003 Grimard Joins Excalibur!
Mario Grimard has joined the Excalibur Sires Marketing team as a District Sales Manager for the Province of Quebec. He will be responsible for direct herd sales, establishing a technician force, and promoting Excalibur Sires throughout Eastern Canada. Mario is no stranger to the A.I. and dairy industry. He and his family were very active in the Holstein Breeders circle prior to beginning his A.I. career. He joins Excalibur Sires with over 22 years of experience in the A. I. Industry.
