- ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA May 4, 2005
Picturesque Germany provided an exceptional setting for seven members of
Excalibur Sires Sales Team to view numerous progeny of sires in the
current lineup.
-
- The tour participants viewed progeny of proven
sires 204HO0463
MANAGER,
204HO0695 LAUDAN,
204HO9203 MOCK,
204HO5513 STRUNZ,
204HO1205 LEROX,
204HO7286 CADON-RED,
and 204HO2913 FABER-RED.
The inspection of these daughters provided a true testament to the
accuracy of the German proofs. Participants reveled in the quality of
the German cattle as one that certainly rivals U.S. Holsteins.
-
- I was completely blown away by the quality of
the Holsteins that we saw in Germany, said Joe Alves, Sales
Representative, Rancho Murieta, Calif.
-
- U.S. breeders are in for a pleasant surprise
when they start milking daughters of German bulls imported by Excalibur
Sires, said Alves. I am very confident that when these bulls get
numbers based on their American daughters, their proofs are going to go
up significantly.
-
- The tour also traveled to the Excellent Show
in the birthplace of the Holstein breed, Leer, East Friesland. Grand
champion honors were claimed by a nine-year-old cow, Tilma (EX-94),
sired by the Italian Starbuck son, Bookie.
