EXCALIBUR SIRES RELEASES SEVEN NEW SIRES ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA – May 11, 2005 – Excalibur Sires announces the addition of seven powerful sires to their active lineup and heightened proofs on several stalwarts. With the advent of new sire summaries, Excalibur Sires adds seven phenomenal sires to the lineup, with four Jocko Besn sons leading the way. Straight from Blackstar’s maternal line, 204HO5651 JANNSEN (Jocko Besn x Mandel) creates the dairyman’s dream. JANNSEN boasts a perfect right-sided linear profile accentuated by his outstanding foot and leg traits. His daughters have superior mobility, tracking extremely straight and with steep foot angles, as evidenced in his +2.55 FLC rating. He sires exemplary openness of rib coupled with solid functional type (+2.02 PTAT) and near perfect udders (+1.05 UDC). To top it off, he is eight percent calving ease! 204HO9616 JANCKER (Jocko Besn x Geoffrey) debuts as one of the highest ranked TPI sires worldwide and is Excalibur’s number four TPI sire at +1788. JANCKER transmits solid production and desirable type. His daughters produce tons of high component milk from extremely high and wide rear udders. He’s a double-plus component improver at +0.15% fat and +0.11% protein and is one of Excalibur’s premier solids sire at +76 fat and +60 protein. Moreover, his rankings of +1.20 PTAT and +1.38 FLC are a testament to his reputation as a true, balanced sire. His seven percent calving ease also gives producers the ability to use him in the heifer pens. 204HO5661 JANOSCH is cut from the same mold as his full brother, JANNSEN.
