Excalibur Sires
group attend the 2007 Holstein Show in Germany
Excalibur Sires has once
again seen first-hand more of the best international genetics in
the Holstein breed.
David Winkels, owner of Excalibur Sires, and a group from
Excalibur Sires recently traveled throughout
Germany to visit farms to see progeny daughters of new bulls and
to attend the
2007 German National Holstein Show in Oldenburg.
The group from Excalibur
Sires began their trip by visiting farms that had Jackpot
daughters.
Jackpot EX-90 is a nice package of high PTAT and Productive
Life, that has a great aAa of 435. All the
Jackpot’s daughters seen on the tour stood out amongst their
herd mates. “The Jackpot daughters
were consistently wide, strong cows that had incredibly good
udders,” said Paula Bauer,
Excalibur Sires Domestic Sales Coordinator.
Another bull that stood out
during the progeny tour was newcomer Juwel! Juwel, is
+1957 Milk
and +1.71 PTAT. David Winkels said “The Juwel daughters are nice
straight cows that have fancy udders.”
Keep an eye out for Juwel as Excalibur Sires will be adding him
to their already impressive line-up in the near future!
The Excalibur Sires group
also attended the 2007 German Holstein Show in Oldenburg on June
14th
where the group viewed the Individual cow class judging,
Championship judging, and the highly
anticipated Offspring Presentation. The Offspring Presentation
brought groups of 8 daughters
from 17 individual sires. Emir daughters really stole the show.
This Juror grandson’s daughters
were really silky, had fancy udders and lots of style to boot.
