Approximately 50% of our young sires return to active service.
Virtually every young sire we prove is on an open end lease.
This gives the breeder a percentage of the profit of every straw sold for the entire lifetime of the bull. It is a simple, yetwell proven fact:
Pay the most, you get the best quality.

We ONLY sample sons of big strong wide powerful cows, often referred to as easy keepers. All bull dams must pass the mouth watering test, if they don’t make my mouth water when I look at them, they can not be an Excalibur bull Momma. PYGMY goats are not our style.

I can say sincerely that our number one goal at Excalibur Sires is NOT to show the highest net profit. We carefully inspect all the milking daughters of our bulls. No matter what the proof says, if he is not siring
the right kind he VERY QUICKLY gets a one way ticket to the sesame bun suite at the Golden Arches.

Excalibur Sires YoungSire Sampling Program
The rules are simple:

1. Dairy producers receive $10.00 for every calf that has calving ease reported to DRPC. Must be within the first 230 calves born.
Maximum of 5 calvings reported per herd, per young sire for credit.

2. Dairy producers receive $75.00 for every milking daughter.
Daughters must be within the first 100 to appear within the bull’s milk proof. Maximum of 2 daughters per herd.

3. Dairy producers will receive an added benefit of free type classification of Pinnacle daughters along with herdmates (SET). Excalibur Sires will pay Holstein Association directly.

4. All young sires, apart from the Purple Rosette Young Sires, qualify under this program.

5. Benefit payment must be applied as semen credit towards Excalibur Sires owned bulls. Only herds enrolled in the Pinnacle Point progeny test program will be allowed these benefits. Benefits will be realized twice each year, January & July. Benefits may be changed at any time without prior notification.
